Zoofari

Last Thursday was TPA's annual (hopefully!) homeschool day at the Zoo.
There are stations set up throughout the zoo with things for the students to listen to, touch, and/or experiment with. After you do each one you got a stamp on your passport. I am proud to say we are the only family in our group to get all of them!! Some had to leave early or come late, so had to skip some. We were there for over 5 hours!!
Here are some of the things we did...

Learned about plants and saw a penguin egg.

Did some experiments with water.

Felt some animal fur.

Climbed on some statues to attempt a group pictures and ate lunch together.

Got up close and personal with some sheep!

(This was the part no one else could stay for.)
We sat through a program about animal coverings and then got to touch some. Plus, she brought out a live hedgehog! It was pretty cute.

A great day with my boys!

And, my mom, who came with us. I somehow didn't get any photos of her. Except the group lunch shot. Thanks for coming along and making my morning much easier!
