Mommy...according to Tate

I thought I would give this a try. It took two "sessions" to complete this interview, and a bit of rewording the questions. His first response to many of the questions was "I don't know", but we made it through!! Some of his responses obviously don't answer the question, but others are right on - that's a two-year-old for you!!

What is something Mommy always says to you? "Don't touch the stove." :(

What makes Mommy happy? "I'm gonna run like this..."

What makes Mommy sad? "Burning my hand"

How does Mommy make you laugh? "That" (said doing some kind of silly dance)

What was Mommy like as a child? "You do this when you was a girl" (same silly dance)



How old is Mommy? "2"

How tall is Mommy? "big"

What is Mommy's favorite thing to do? "clap for Shockers"

What does Mommy do when you're not around? "go to friends"

If your Mommy becomes famous, what will it be for? (never did get him to answer this at all - that's ok, I don't want to be famous!)

What is Mommy really good at? "you good doing this" (as he air juggles - no clue)

What is Mommy not very good at? "you're not good at this" (again with the air juggling)

What does Mommy do for a job? "do clothes"



What is Mommy's favorite food? "basgetti!" (he is right!!!)

What makes Mommy proud of you? "this" (again with the silly dancing...)

What do you and Mommy do together? "do a game"

How are you and Mommy the same? "umm...2" (?)

How are you and Mommy different? "2"

How do you know Mommy loves you? "Jesus loves you"

What does Mommy like most about your Daddy? "he likes to do this" (you guessed it...silly dancing!)

Where is Mommy's favorite place to be? "at Chuck E. Cheese's." (this answer is very odd to me...if you don't know about our Chuck E Cheese experience - yes, singular - you can click here to read about it. hint - we haven't been back since.)

If you look close at this picture you can see his hand. This was about a week ago. It looks really good (all things considered) now! He had is last appointment with the burn specialist this past Tuesday and won't go back unless there is a problem. We will keep an eye on it for the next couple of months.
We put lotion on it a couple times a day to minimize scarring. And, he is starting to use it more and more every day. The first thing we got him to do was throw a ball. Since he did that he has been trying to do just about everything. He generally leaves his fingers curled around his palm, but if we remind him he straightens it out and has no problems. I think it is going to take a while for him to get used to being able to use it. And, he hasn't sucked his thumb, or said anything about missing it!!
