Reed didn't make the picture, but here is the rest of the gang (plus one extra trying to get down the slide)!

Nights are going better, for the most part. I still could use a nap, that I don't usually get. Grayson only sleeps for about an hour, and I haven't been able to get Reed asleep before or even at the same time as the other two! But, I am a bit of a night person. So, come 8 or 9 I wake up! Chris is falling asleep on the couch before I get tired again! Reed is our first baby to not be fussy all evening (I really hope I am not speaking to soon)! The past two evenings he is asleep by 9, and I wake him up enough to feed him before I go to bed. Then he is up twice between then and 9:30 or 10 the next morning! He sometimes has a hard time getting back to sleep in the middle of the night, but is so out of it as I feed him at 6 or 6:30 a.m. that I couldn't keep him up if I wanted! It is nice to enjoy a peacefull evening with Chris - especially now that I am not super huge and uncomfortable! :)
I have a funny story to share. I had to give it some time to be truly comical, and not "remember" how frustrated I was at the time. :) I have to start by explaining that Chris means well, but is just out of it after having slept for any amount of time. If something, or someone, needs attention in the middle of the night it is up to me to deal with it, or take 5 minutes to wake Chris up and explain what is going on. Now, I haven't ever liked nursing (let alone changing) the boys in our room. So, even when Reed was sleeping in our room/bed I took him to his room to change and nurse him. I think the past two nights are the only nights I haven't spent a significant amount of time sleeping in the rocker in his room!! One night I slept for over an hour! The next night it was closer to two hours. When I woke up my legs were numb from being propped up on the foot rest. I couldn't move them at all! The monitor was in reach and still on (since I knew it wouldn't bother Chris anyway). So, I grabbed it and said Chris' name as loud as I could without waking everyone up - right into the monitor. I snapped in it, I clapped. Then I unplugged it, knowing that this would make it beep in our room. It beeped for a bit - I could hear it! Then, it stopped. Chris had woken up, turned it off and went back to sleep - never even remembering any of it! I managed to eventually make it back to our room, and told him all about it in the morning!

oh no...you poor thing! Aaron is a heavy sleeper, I did something similar one night by trying to get his attention via the moniter...he didn't move a muscle, but Jake did! I was so happy to see that kid. Isn't it funny how sleeping upright in a rocking chair almost feels natural??? LOL
Oh that is so funny. But I'm sure at the time it wasn't too funny!
Bless your heart! I did have to laugh, though if I were in that situation it'd be hard not to be frustrated, too!
That is funny. I had one time when Michelle was only a few weeks old and Mike worked 2nd shift. About 6AM I had been up and needed help. I called his name from the time I was at the bedroom door until I got to the bed and he didn't wake up until I started kicking the bed. We laugh about it now.
argh. i'm really behind. so....
congratuations!!!! (i can't believe i'm 2 weeks behind, that is really sad)
